Play Therapy Service
Play Therapy is one of the most in demand services in our centre. Play is a developmentally appropriate language used by children to communicate their worries and emotions in the way adults would in talking therapy. Play Therapy helps children to process the world around them and any issues they may face. The play room becomes a safe space for your child to work through and make sense of any concerns while being guided and supported by a therapist who recognizes the power of play.
Often parents worry about their child and would like to speak with someone about services available, or other times due to a life circumstance, you may feel your child needs a play therapist, or indeed, your child may ask for some help. This can be a very worrying time for parents and Carrigaline Family Support Centre will do what we can to support you during this time.
We have a panel of play therapists operating Monday to Saturday, throughout the day. Once we have met with a parent to assess need, we can refer you to one of our therapists.
